Parent Company Projects

Grandi Lavori Fincosit SpA of Rome, Italy, GLF's parent company established in 1905, has successfully completed construction of many large public and private works projects all over the world. Locations include Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Russia, North and South America and the Philippines. The scope of the projects has included marine works, bridges, railways, hydroelectric and thermoelectric power plants.

Current major projects include: in Italy, the design and construction of the High Speed Railway from Milano to Bologna, the City of Venice Flood Protection Project, and the Rome Harbor Project; and in the Philippines, construction of the Umiray-Angat Transbasin Tunnel in Manilla. The high-speed rail project also includes construction of a major cable-stayed bridge.

	Construction of Dam, adjacent work and Related Facilities (Misicuni II) Cochabamba, Bolivia The project consists of construction of a new earthen Dam 120 mts in height.
	Ras Laffan Port Qatar GLF SpA was a major partner of a Joint Venture in the construction of the Ras Laffan Port in Qatar.
	Iron Ore Berth Jen Jen, Algeria This project for the Ministère des Travaux Publics de Wilaia de Jijel, Algeria, consisted of the construction of a 1,100 meter long iron ore berth, a 320 meter long "mixed" berth, a 775 meter long general cargo berth, a 223 meter long pier and a deck.
	Umiray Angat Tunnel Philippines Grandi Lavori Fincosit constructed this complex underground project in the Philippines, in a mountainous area northward of Manila, hard to be reached and across very difficult terrain.
	Venice Flood Protection Italy GLF SpA has been part of the Consorzio Venezia Nuova to which the Italian government has entrusted the vast project for the protection of Venice and its lagoons.
	Metro Station Milan, Italy Grandi Lavori Fincosit was awarded a major section of construction of the new high speed rail network from Milan to Bologna.
	Port of Brindisi Wharf Brindisi, Italy This project, constructed by Grandi Lavori Fincosit, consisted of a wharf-wall built with 34 cellular reinforced concrete caissons.
	Port of Jen Jen Algeria Total length of quays: 2,300 m of which 126 caissons were employed with height ranging from 12 to 19,50 m.
	Cable-Stayed Bridge for the High Speed Railway Milano-Bologna, Italy The works of the High Speed Railway Milano-Bologna consist of 180 Km of railroad in the northern part of Italy. Among the most relevant structures of the project was the Cable-Stayed Bridge over the Po River.
	Vulcano Di Nola Super Center Naples, Italy The works of the High Speed Railway Milano-Bologna consist of 180 Km of railroad in the northern part of Italy. Among the most relevant structures of the project was the Cable-Stayed Bridge over the Po River.
	Port of Ascoli Piceno - New Marina of Port San Giorgio Italy The works featured the construction of rubble mound main and lee breakwater formed by with an underlayer of 1st and 2nd grade rocks plus a cover layer of tetrapods and 3rd grade rocks for a total length of 1,467 m.
	Port of Genoa - Multiple Projects Italy Pier for repair and fitting of ships, Pier for floating dock facilities, Eastern and western Lee breakewateres & Water clarification tank of the water treatment plant in the historic center of Genoa.
	Port of Bari - Construction of Quay and Aprons in the Western Dock Italy The construction of quays and aprons in the Western Dock of the Port of Bari for a total length of 805.40 m.
	Port of Livorno - New Italia Jetty Parallel to Calata Alto Fondale (Deep Draft Quay) Italy The works in question feature all works required for the construction of the new Italia jetty in the Port of Livorno. Reinforced concrete cellular caissons were employed to form the outside perimeter of the jetty, for a total length of approx 950 m.
	Port of Savona - Completion of Boselli Pier Italy Works conducted in compliance with the Master Plan of Savona Port, 4th Allotment. Completion of Boselli pier. Client: Autorità Portuale di Savona
	Port of Savona - Revamping of Bulk Terminal Italy Revamping of Bulk Terminal, Port of Savona Darsena Alti Fondali (Deep Draft Dock) - Civil Works.
	Port of Brindisi - Costa Morena Eastern Jetty Italy The intervention consists in the construction of the Eastern jetty of Costa Morena quay, as well as the dredging of the surrounding sea bed up to –14 m.
	Port of Civitavecchia - Extension works of Cristoforo Colombo Breakwater – 1st Allotment Italy Extension works of “Cristoforo Colombo” Breakwater - 1st Allotment - from section 863,50 to section 1401,00.
	Port of Ostia Rome, Italy GLF SpA constructed the new Port of Rome built on the beach of Ostia. The port is a completely new Marina for pleasure boats only.
	Port of Livorno - Dry-dock Italy The gravity dock is founded directly on the sea bed, consisting of closely alternated clay and sandy silty layers.
